inconceivable!
I mean yeah…you can’t trust Trump and Netanyahu; they’re both obviously very awful men.
I don’t blame anyone over there for their naivete regarding Trump and what he is. Even though American politics has a long reach, it’s understandable that the average Iranian would have only a superficial impression of Trump based on far fewer details than a politically-minded American. So the majority of them probably know very little about Trump and just thought he was more aggressively anti-regime than most American presidents, and had high hopes due to that.
The crucial details they were missing is that he’s a psychopathic narcissist and a yuge moron who doesn’t care about the American people let alone the Iranian people.
This was a very depressing read. I can’t imagine what it must be like to be an Iranian, realizing that you truly are alone with it all.
