Carney and Norwegian PM Jonas Støre later issued a joint statement that states Canada and Norway will continue to cooperate to deliver affordable, secure and stable energy. Other statements include a plea to deescalate and inevitably stop the war in the Middle East, to increase defence and security cooperation in the Arctic and space and a pledge to continue their support of Ukraine in its war against Russia.
