Iran's strategy is to drive up oil prices which will cause enormous economic damage in the US and put pressure on Trump.

Uh, China isn’t going to help us. China publicly condemned the unprovoked US and Israeli attacks on Iran. A surprise attack, to decapitate a nations leadership, under the guise of diplomatic relations may constitute perfidy (a war crime).
Iran is reportedly considering allowing oil tankers to pass through the Strait of Hormuz if they trade with the Chinese Yuan instead of the U.S. Dollar. China can get oil from their bestie, Russia, who is currently providing intelligence and targeting data on US bases and troop locations to Iran.
The “do nothing and win” strategy is still going strong for Beijing and I don’t see why they would rock the boat by changing strategy, now. But rest assured, if China shows up in the Middle East, it won’t be to help us.
