Tmw all gulf states decide to start hosting Chinese military bases

1. Summary
U.S. President Donald Trump angrily suggested Wednesday that he could leave U.S. allies to secure the Hormuz strait on their own since they have refused to fight alongside U.S. forces against Iran in the crucial shipping lane.
Trump has responded to the Hormuz crisis with a series of contradictory statements, saying both that allies must help the United States and then on Tuesday saying “we don’t need any help.”
2. How is this related to the sub
(1) Iran War Escalation: Trump continues confusing cycle of contradictory statements on whether he needs allies on Hormuz.
3. My opinion
This opens a new possibility for US allies in Europe and Asia as they could make a separate peace with Iran and secure oil flow to their nations. I read Korean government is trying to establish communication with IRGC to secure China-style deal which oil tankers bound for Korea report their location to Iran real-time as they pass through Hormuz.
I honestly don’t see how anyone could ever trust us for anything not strictly transactional again knowing half the country could do this every 4 years.

>”I wonder what would happen if we ‘finished off’ what’s left of the Iranian Terror State…”
I wonder what he meant by this part of the post, and why the headline is ignoring it?
