I thought this opinion piece from USA Today was decent. I truly do believe that Elon will do much to benefit humanity in multiple ways, despite his "quirkiness", or some might say, "jerkiness".

It’s funny because the left snubbed him first
Never claimed otherwise personally.
People, the lions share on the left, are so obsessed with identity politics that if someone doesn’t align they are out. Honestly, the only reason I think Fetterman is holding in is because the dem party needs to have him for optics.
We can have people we disagree with, but still recognize their function. And we can call out out those we might agree with, but who’s function is compromised…
