IMO the DW-flagged connection to the Iran war is the thread to pull: if Kim issues further statements tying Pyongyang’s posture to the Iran conflict, this test becomes part of a broader anti-US alignment narrative. Need to keep an eye out for more launches…if this is just posturing it’s par for the course for NK and on-brand to try and help their other despotic buddies.

I don’t know why we pay them any attention. They seem happy to be recluses and issue idle threats.
