Had a run-in with a POS cop who cited the wrong motor vehicle act infraction after he bullied me to cross the street faster in front of his left turn on my green light and walk signal.

As he inched towards me, I motioned the universal sign for "have patience," which is pressing your hands down and up and down again.

I continued in my way, not noticing the cruiser's lights or the officer speaking to me, had my earphones in, he chased me down.

Long story short, he ticketed me for not crossing the street as quickly as possible, tried to take points of my driver's license (I don't have one), and was a general POS cop.

I googled how to make a complaint. Was contacted by the RCMP, who recorded a call of me reiterating the complaint, albeit with far more profanity.

Then it was all by email. Eventually, he said I had to choose mediation, a formal investigation, or drop the complaint. I chose formal.

To my utter shock (/s), the RCMP investigated themselves and found they did nothing wrong.

My previous experience with RCMP has been negative and did not leave me with any feeling that they are what our romanticized image of an RCMP officer is.. stupid, I know, but it was something from my childhood and our country's past that's difficult to let go of.

I've let go. The're just cops.
