Emperor Hadrian wrote a letter stating that the followers of Serapis called themselves Christians. This image, which dates to around 313 AD, summarizes how Christianity was legalized in Rome. It was actually integrated into the Cult of Sol Invictus, which celebrated a sun festival on December 25th.
