There are entire companies in places like Indonesia and other Asian countries and African and Indian that just scam Westerners all the time. North Korea too. Long cons, not just one phone call.
They enslave people and hold them captive using fake job interviews as bait.
Just don’t answer your phone for people you don’t know. Make them mail you a letter if it’s important.
