Why does Jesus Christ make the same hand-sign as Baphomet?
The oldest known reference to As Above So Below is from the Emerald Tablet of Hermes Trismegistus dating back to 4,000 BCE, which ambiguously says: “That which is Below corresponds to that which is Above, and that which is Above corresponds to that which is Below, to accomplish the miracle of that One Thing”. Some have interpreted this passage to point to the connectivity of worlds. Everything found on the Earth has a spiritual counterpart in Heaven. The order and infrastructure on Earth is a reflection of that found in Heaven. Others have interperted the passage as a reference to the unification of the macrocosm with the microcosm through the Tree of Life, thus accomplishing the Great Work. One interesting observation is that the As Above So Below symbol, which is two interconnected triangles pointing away from one another, matches the Orion constellation, and we know that ancient civilizations around the world constructed monuments that were astronomically aligned with Orion, which literally embodies the phrase ‘As Above So Below’.
