This is insane!
According to NY Post story on same subject, a Jewish Democrat from the Bronx, Eric Dinowitz, proposed it. It passed the city council with a vote of 30-19, just shy of a veto-proof majority.
Still, Mamdani vetoes it.
A buffer zone, set up for safety reasons to prevent harassment of the world’s most targeted people on the planet.
Vetoed.
