Ann Arbor to remove Neighborhood Crime Watch signs

  1. “Mayor Christopher Taylor wrote in an email to The Michigan Daily that, while the signs will be removed, residents can still get involved in crime oversight through the Ann Arbor Independent Community Police Oversight Commission.

    “I am unaware of any evidence to support the proposition that the signs were effective deterrents,” Taylor wrote. “The signs conveyed disinformation and an ethos of exclusion. We will continue to promote safety and community policing through AAPD communication channels and ICPOC.”

    How thoughtful of them to go out of their way to make criminals feel included and part of the community.😂🙄🤦

  2. If removing Neighborhood Crime Watch signs makes your constituents feel better, maybe the caliber of your constituents is pretty low and you should reconsider.
