Honestly I wish we had better benefits for clergymen. Pastors and missionary folks don’t exactly have a clear cut way to establish retirement like those under normal employers.
I’m not saying taxpayer-paid benefits but some sort of tax-free retirement savings situations that means a clergyman can save more money faster as long as it’s specifically for retirement and nothing else. They’ll never pay taxes on it, but can’t legally access it until <x> age (like 65 or 75 or whatever).
They still pay income taxes like anyone else but their retirement savings can’t be taxed.
