  1. For people that don’t understand the purpose of this, a little history:

    In the 1970’s and 1980’s, U.S. oil refining companies miscalculated and massively overbuilt the capacity to refine the ‘poorer’ quality of oil that comes from Canada, Venezuela, and Mexico.

    Because of that, that U.S, even though it is a net oil producer – imports a ton of this type of oil for it’s refineries. And we export a lot of our oil, like Shale, to refineries in Europe and elsewhere, which were more specifically built for this type of oil.

    Oil pipelines are a much better way to get that oil to our refineries than trains and trucks.

    All data shows they are better in terms of reduced enviornmental disaster. Especially new ones. Less fuel usage in transportation, and yes more profits.

    This is all great, but it will likely be killed by the next Democrat president, just like Keystone XL was.
