Submission statement:

It is about the Indian state of Uttar Pradesh (UP), ruled by BJP's Yogi Adityanath. His government expanded the Cabinet by strategically inducting six new members with 2027 elections in mind, which is a year from now.

The expansion focuses heavily on non-Yadav Other Backward Classes (OBC), Scheduled Castes (SC), and Brahmin community. BJP is trying to counter its political opponent, the Samajwadi Party’s (SP) ‘PDA’ outreach, which focuses on consolidating ‘Pichda’ (OBC or Backwards), Dalit, and ‘Alpasankhyak’ (minority) voters.

The new inductees include three OBC leaders, two SC representatives, including a woman, and one Brahmin face, reflecting the BJP’s effort to consolidate its core base and reclaim ground in eastern and western UP.

This might provide some context for people who wonder why BJP keeps winning. They never rest and plan well advanced of elections. West Bengal elections just got over and they are already laying the groundwork for the next one.
