It always starts with “we need to protect children from porn” as the foundations followed by mass censorship and control of information.
It’s the perfect ruse because no matter how hard you try, the internet will never be safe for children and will always require parents to be present but also it provides endless opportunities for governments to push through legislation to monitor what people see.
It’s never about protecting children. If it was, there would be funding for endless after-school programs to keep kids off the streets.
There’s only one government in Utah and that’s the Mormon Church. They don’t want anything getting out about them., or other networks doing criminal activity on their turf.
