Relevant because as much as the Iran war has hurt Americans, it has hit the global poor like India several times harder. From the article, shortages from the war literally makes it harder to cook and makes Indian factories less competitive. We are basically seeing the starting process of a deindustrialization and a re agrarianization of India.
And India is probably a large enough country to not have the full impact be felt by the people. There are countries worse off.
