Unfortunately even people who are into conspiracies have fallen for the mind control of religion so much so that a post like this is likely to get immediate downvotes. But when looked at objectively its so obvious that religion was created to control people.
The funny thing is a Christian might be able to see the Islam is a form of control, and a Muslim might be able to see that Christianity is a form of control. But neither of them is able to see that their own religion is a form control, and that is by design.
I wouldn’t say it’s the greatest form of mind control anymore, just one old form of it. The advances in psychology and neuroscience in the past two centuries have taken the options to far more intricate and subtle frontiers.
one can say the same thing about language.
whatever the mechanism is that facilitates communication of data, and this becomes widely adopted, then ur stuck with the limitations of that model of communication.
we have these memes. why? because they express ideas that language “attempts” to describe. the memes do it better, and they don’t need any symbols.
the greatest form of mind control is the quiver of memes they use.
