We see where this is headed right?

As more states implement laws against any kind of cellphone use while behind the wheel, these AI monitoring systems in cars will soon be there to enforce it. They know there’s not nearly enough police on the roads to catch everyone who scrolls their phone while stopped at a red light or in traffic jam, but the coming AI systems in cars will be monitoring you and can report you to the local police where they can issue you a ticket automatically. Same will eventually go for monitoring your speeds. The AI systems know the speed limits and how fast you’re driving. Maintain a speed over the limit for a designated amount of seconds and it can report you and ticket you. All this will of course will indeed make the roads safer obviously, but at the same time will make driving a tense and miserable time for many. When you think about how accustomed people have gotten to picking up and checking their phone while stopped in traffic and not being able to do that anymore without being instantly detected by your own car is going to enrage many. As well, we see how aggressive driving habits have become since the pandemic. More people than not are used to driving much over the limit with little care. This will make the roads safer, but at the same time will serve to discourage excess driving while also making state and local governments a ton of money in fines. Think about having to drive even just 1-2 hours somewhere without being able to check your phone once unless you stop somewhere. Think about how glued people are to their phones now. Nobody will want to be the one to drive because everyone will want to be able to use their phone. Maybe these car AI systems won’t be ready by 2027 but eventually they will and will be implemented whether we like it or not. It’s only a matter of time.
