U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services Will Grant ‘Adjustment of Status’ Only in Extraordinary Circumstances

This is relevant to NL as this breaking news demonstrates additional efforts by the Trump Administration to block forms of legal immigration into the United States by attacking individuals who have properly filed for permanent legal residence per USCIS guidelines. This degradation of immigration services is further evidence that the Trump Admin is diametrically opposed to the vision that the founders of this country had for its people, as “one nation for all.”

Gross. And will undoubtedly abused such that “extraordinary circumstances” means “white Christian.”

I guess Big Tech is hoping the imminent machine god means they don’t need to recruit or retain talent anymore anyway.

Really interesting that this actually popped up at my work today. We have lot of students doing pending immigration changes to try and qualify for federal aid. I had to put a notice on our site saying we are just outright denying them instead of waiting for a status change, since evidently their status will never be changed.
