The American left is facing a massive generational clash, with a youth far more radical and anti-capitalist than their elders.
Remember how Bernie Sanders’ 2016 campaign was sabotaged by a party machine conspiracy.
Remember how they had to appoint a candidate from the top down in 2020 following Biden’s debacle.
These two events, and their inability to select a candidate from the grassroots, are precisely the results of this generational crisis.
This is also why the Democratic Party is still controlled by a few aging senators who are over 75.
In a sense, wokism is the radicality they accepted to better refuse the anti capitalist one.
Republican party has welcomed and accepted much better its radical youth. That’s one of the reasons of Trump’s success.
