As with anything with this conflict, I’ll believe it when I see it. If we end up with an agreement where Iran gives up its enriched uranium and firm safeguards are put in place to prevent future nuclear weapons programs that’d be great but at this point we just see the same headlines on loop every week or two.

Reminder there are no recent photos of Mojtaba Khamenei, we never saw him showing off his manly battle marks and we never saw him commanding anything. There is always a bored expression on his face because there is not a single picture of him from after the excitement started.

    >“In other words, no highly enriched uranium, then the Iranians aren’t going to get any real relief.”

The regime remnants don’t get any relief – just like yesterday or the day before times 10-20ish in the negotiations phase.

    >Since the Operation Epic Fury attacks [were launched against Iran](https://nypost.com/2026/02/28/us-news/us-israel-launch-attack-on-iran-after-regime-refuses-to-scrap-nuclear-program-report/), questions have swirled over the status of its new supreme leader, including whether he was alive, coherent, or significantly involved in negotiations.

They’ve been cycling through new sheriffs like an old western comedy.

    >“I would say, by and large, most people in the Iranian system don’t love the deal, but they also don’t like the idea of going back to war,”

Diplomacy and war in general, the early 20th century thought about the same.
