The sanctimonious Gov. Mikie Sherrill couldn't pass up the opportunity to support criminal illegal immigrants on Memorial Day with her core constituency of America-hating left-wing losers. She achieved her main objective of getting in front of the cameras.

New Jersey Governor Mikie Sherrill tried to pull a cheap political stunt on Memorial Day and it completely blew up in her face.
The Democrat governor showed up at the ICE detention facility in Newark, apparently hoping for some viral moment grandstanding against immigration enforcement. Instead, the Department of Homeland Security shut her down cold.
DHS made it clear: visitation is currently suspended because of riots happening outside the facility. They called her visit exactly what it was — “nothing more than a political stunt on Memorial Day.”

This is peak Democrat hypocrisy. On the day Americans honor the service members who sacrificed everything to protect this country and its laws, Sherrill decided to grandstand at a federal immigration facility. No respect for the holiday, no respect for the men and women enforcing our borders — just another photo-op to pander to the open-borders crowd.
