The whole campaign of trying to tack the blame of losing Artsakh, which was always going to be nearly impossible to defend, by a bunch of pro-Russian politicians onto Pashinyan is incredibly ironic since Russia is the one who sat on their hands during the invasion.
He isn’t the most perfect and liberal candidate, but he’s definitely the most secure hand in Armenia in the face of increasing Russian threats and the most level-headed person going into negotiations with Turkey, Azerbaijan, and the EU.

Sharing this here as I know there were some concerns about Russia trying to influence this election. Putin’s approached this with the subtlety of a sledgehammer.
