People upvote based on conformity.
That’s because that statement enjoys roughly 99% agreement across all possible attempts at division.
Here are some others:
No dual citizens in Congress
Ban Lobbying
End Citizens United / No corporate or foreign campaign financing
Repeal the Smith Mundt Act and end State propaganda
Absolute medical autonomy regarding all facets of care
No CBDC / Mandate that cash must be accepted as an option
No AI surveillance State
Only Citizens Vote (once)
End Mail In Ballots
Go back to the gold standard / Bankrupt and end the Fed
Ban autonomous weapons systems like drones and robots with guns
Ban Corporate Ownership of Residential Property / Resident Owner Only
Declare the Patriot Act to be unconstitutional
Restore line item vetoes / Outlaw Omnibus Legislation
and so much more….
Many of which would make perfect one sentence Constitutional Amendments added to the Bill of Rights.
None of these things will ever wind up being done, for exactly the reason you suggest. These are the things people actually want. As opposed to what we are currently getting.
