I'm convinced grocery pickup at major retailers is just a way for them to sell spoiled product that nobody would buy in the store. Even if 75% of people request a refund they still come out on top.

i also think they do a lot of “substitutions” at higher prices. it’s crazy how many items they are out of stock of, but you can get this wonderful substitution for a bit more money!
There is a way around it.
