A South Korean court has sentenced Park Sung-jae, the minister of justice at the time of the 2024 insurrection, to 25 years behind bars for playing a key supporting role in the martial law plot by then-President Yoon Suk-yeol.
Park was immediately remanded into custody after the court determined that there was a risk he might destroy evidence.

Generals and ministers are sentencing to decades in jail, mid-level officers are jailed to around 10 years in jail, low-level officers & far-right rioters are getting relatively light with 2 to 3 years in jail.
