    I certainly agree, but it needs to be international, which would be….difficult. LVT only needs to be national because well, the land is only in one spot within one nation. No nation owns an orbit though, so if it becomes cost prohibitive to have an orbit as a US company, a Chinese company could just use it and not pay the tax.

    Georgist taxes for space don’t make sense because space is really big and there isn’t a real scarcity of LEO orbits, not yet at least.

    Pigouvian taxes, however, do make sense in order to account for the externalities which are the risk of collision and astronomical interference.
