In what world are any of the right wingers winning elections in Latin America liberal?

I mean, neither the latin american left nor the right is, in any way, a group of liberal globalists. My Colombian friends were quite unhappy because instead of just peace, they are getting FARC rearmament. At the same time, in Venezuela, apparently the economy is slowing down precipitously, because nobody has any trust on a local currency, and people with dollars aren’t exactly willing to use it with the current insability, so many locals argue they were better off with Maduro.
Note however that they call Trump a leftist, because he is so hard to distinguish from someone like Chavez, but sleepier.
