Peter Magyar won the Hungarian elections by getting more than 70 percent of the seats of the Parlament (66 percent is needed for constitutional changes)
He made an amendment so far to limit a prime ministership to 8 years in a person's lifetime. (Locking out Orban, unless Orban's supporters win with 66 percent next time or start a civil war)
He plans to join EU Prosecutor's Office, which can remove him or his successor if EU burocrats find them not playing by their rules.
Now he plans to seize up to 169 billion worth of assets from the inner circle of the previous prime minister, Orban, and supposedly give this "National Office for Asset Recovery and Protection" much authority to see bank account and asset movements even abroad as much as possible.
In a nutshell: In the country where both Holocaust and Soviet property seizures happened, and where Orban made a new constitution in 2012 and ruled by decrees for 11 years, now the new guy is establishing a property seizure office against his opponents, about 6 weeks after his inauguration.
