This is in response to a recent listing by the Pentagon expanding a blacklist of Chinese companies as aiding China’s military. The companies include Alibaba, BYD, Baidu, and others. China, on the other hand has banned the companies below from receiving dual-use goods, technologies, or services:

    >The 10 companies are AVEOX in Simi Valley, California; Red Cat Holdings and Teal Drones, both in South Salt Lake, Utah; IMSAR in Springville, Utah; Jaia Robotics in Bristol, Rhode Island; Ball Aerospace & Technologies in Broomfield, Colorado; Oshkosh Defense in Oshkosh, Wisconsin; L3Harris Maritime Services in Norfolk, Virginia; MP Materials in Las Vegas; and USA Rare Earth in Stillwater, Oklahoma.

It should be noted that the Chinese retaliation is arguably harsher than the American blacklist; The addition of these companies by US is mostly a symbolic measure, with no commercial impact. As such China may be signaling that even symbolic sanctions will be retaliated against in the future, especially given the trade truce reached by Trump and Xi.
