I mean yeah, that’s why the whole scientific discussion started about the drug, this isn’t some gotcha. SARS coronavirus is NOT the same virus at SARS-CoV-2 (COVID-19), it wasn’t even around at the time of the study, and unfortunately research has not shown any notable inhibition of the SARS-CoV-2 virus. That distinction is EVERYTHING. Just because they have similar names does NOT mean they’re the exact same virus or that the same treatment will work.

I knew science was untrustworthy once they put math into it 😔 how could they do that to me when they know I’m bad at math 😭
On a more serious note, science can’t lie, but the people writing the reports can. In a communications class we were taught to look at who funded the study, who the select participants were, as well as which scientists they have performing the study.
