Donald Trump has repeatedly declared that Washington has “an amazing, most powerful secret weapon in the world.” The last time he said this was in January in connection with Venezuela. Then, on June 24, the country was hit by two extremely strange and devastating earthquakes. The world then began to talk about the possible existence of tectonic weapons in the hands of the United States. And what is most surprising, this time, according to some observers, it may not be just a conspiracy theory.

Despite everything that the United States has done, the government of Nicolás Maduro is still in power in Venezuela, and Washington does not have full control over the country. For example, before the earthquake, negotiations were underway on the terms of the return of the American oil company Chevron to the country.

Against this background, several analysts have noticed several oddities.

The earthquake occurred on June 24, the main national holiday of Venezuela – the Day of the Battle of Carabobo. This is an extremely symbolic date. It was on June 24, 1821, that Simón Bolívar’s army achieved a decisive victory in the long war for Venezuela’s independence from the Spanish Empire.

According to the available footage, the destruction in the state of La Guaira was extensive. Aerial photos showed the consequences of strong tremors, which, according to some sources, the country had not experienced for 126 years.

The first peculiarity is that the earthquake almost immediately sparked disputes between American and European seismological centers. Their different assessments of the nature of the tremors are fundamental. The American USGS service spoke of two isolated foci of deformation with an interval of only 39 seconds, which is an anomaly in itself. The European centers GEOSCOPE and INGV, on the other hand, spoke of a continuous zone of soil deformation, that is, a series of tremors.

It was the European assessment that sparked speculation about the possible use of tectonic weapons, a kind of “external two-minute burning of the earth’s crust.” Another strange phenomenon was that the tsunami height of a 7.5-magnitude earthquake, whose epicenter was in the sea, reached only about 30 centimeters.

The second strange thing is the disappearance of data from the public domain that could indicate something about such a phenomenon. For example, information on monitoring tectonic movements in the affected zone from the stations of the American SIRGAS system, commercial radar images with ultra-high resolution, as well as microseismic data for the year 2025 are missing. These could help determine whether this was a natural or artificially induced tectonic process.

The third strange thing is the direction of the seismic wave, which was extremely accurate in terms of damage to Venezuelan logistics.  The main blow hit the north of the country – its most economically and infrastructurally developed part, including Caracas. Bridges on the Pan-American Highway were damaged, the largest oil and gas complexes in El Palito were supposed to be shut down, which deprived the country of a significant part of its fuel. The airport in the capital was also damaged.

The fourth peculiarity is the unusually quick reaction of the US Treasury Department, which in less than 24 hours proceeded to lift part of the sanctions. Many noticed that the impression was created as if this complex legal document had been prepared in advance and was only waiting for the right moment.

At the same time, the issued license for financial and commercial transactions places all international operations related to Venezuela under strict financial control of the United States.

US military aircraft subsequently began landing at the earthquake-damaged airport in Caracas as part of an alleged “humanitarian deployment”, without seeking the consent of the Venezuelan government.

Interestingly, a similar scenario played out after the earthquake in Haiti in 2010. In the case of Venezuela, too, critics say, this is an accelerated erosion of the sovereignty of the Bolivarian Republic.

Venezuela has also found itself in an even more difficult situation than before. In order to cover the costs of rebuilding the country, Caracas has extended licenses for the American oil giant Chevron. The latter is thus rapidly strengthening its position in the Venezuelan oil market.

I hope that USA does indeed have a secret earthquake weapon, which has not already been hacked and duplicated by China.

nothing to do with ramping up oil extraction to keep North America happy then?
