Orbán through a network of GONGOs which legally function as “public-interest asset managesr”, a legal neologism for whats basically laundering public money without needing to report to the public, has built up a political influence network that tied in and connected many Western figures, notably from the US and UK far-right by organising events such as CPAC Hungary, giving them jobs that by both Hungarian and world standards paid them handsomely (paid by the HU taxpayer), and in general working to extend their influence across the European political spere, notably by organisations such as MCC Brussels, which is currently suspended by the EU for not disclosing its funding.

With the new government, Tisza is taking steps to screen these foundations, recover public funds and ultimately dissolve this kind of loophole. Notably, Magyar himself does not intend to censure or dismantle the foundations, if they wish they can continue operationg from donations and whatnot, but it’s pretty obvious that whatever survives will be just a shadow without public financing.

Magya put his deputy primine minister Bálint Ruff in charge of overseeing BLA, the central foundation of this network, who has been one of the most fervent critics of the Orbánist system.
