The newly released statistics show California recorded its lowest homicide rate since statewide crime reporting began in 1966. Officials also reported year-over-year declines in robbery, violent crime, property crime and motor vehicle theft.
I have a feeling that the crime wave during the first half of the 2020s had more to do with COVID and weak DAs than with liberalism, immigration, or criminal justice reform, contrary to what many on the right believe.

Following up from [the report](https://abc7.com/amp/post/california-sees-lowest-numbers-firearm-related-deaths-1968-attorney-general-rob-bonta-says/18935111/) about California having the list foreseen related deaths since 1968, published earlier this year.
