The Platner “vetting” process was so sloppy, the way they literally just looked for a lobster or oyster farmer who had made a Bernie donation. It reminds me of the friends episode where Joey told Phoebe he set her up with a guy named Mike, but he actually forgot, so he just walks into the cafe and calls out “Mike!” And this guy looks up and says “yeah?”

    >Fetterman, McCormick form bipartisan fundraising committee that Dems call ‘betrayal’

    >“Another big betrayal from Fetterman but look on the bright side, we’ll get Republicans to burn their money before Pennsylvania fires him,” former Pittsburgh-area U.S. Rep. Conor Lamb wrote on X.

    >“Helping the Republicans raise money to spend against Democrats is bad, right?” Pennslyvania House Dem Chris Deluzio sarcastically posted on X.

    >J.J. Abbott, a Democratic strategist and former press secretary for former Gov. Tom Wolf, took to X to call the Fetterman-McCormick committee “insane,” but he didn’t stop there. “Fetterman is betraying his own donors — many of which gave to him to help Dems get control of the Senate in 2022,” Abbott wrote. “He is now going to use them to raise money for Republicans to control the chamber long-term.”

    >In the first half [of the year], China’s shipyards took on twice as many new orders as they did during the same period in 2025, according to the latest numbers from Clarksons.

    >Out of a total of 1,481 vessels ordered worldwide during the period, China took in 1,131 orders totaling 31 million compensated gross tonnes – about 72 percent of total market share, roughly equivalent to its dominant position in the industry in 2025. China has secured the majority of global shipbuilding orders for the last four years running, and continues to solidify its wide lead over its nearest competitor, South Korea

Liberal transhumanism is when you have the right to genetically modify yourself into a catboy or genderless octopus but not into a gunboat or Godzilla (it would disrupt the state monopoly on force)
