“School does nothing its all parental involvement and culture that rewards learning” mfers when we send the kids home for 1 year (they come back permanently stunted)

So like as a millennial can someone help me understand if kids in school are doing as poorly as everyone on Reddit seems to suggest? I mean all I can think about when I see these anecdotes is how my generation got called lazy and failures, how jackass and talladega nights were used to show how stupid we were. So when I see people talking about how all the kids do now is “stimming tik tok quotes” or whatever to me that just reminds me of how many of us did Shake and Bake 10,000 times in the hall in highschool.

Like to me all the complaints just seem like what boomers said about us. I remember people claimed phonics and no child left behind made my generation illiterate and now I’m seeing people say some new teaching method is also making this generation illiterate. I know test scores are dropping but I’m just finding it hard not to see all this panic as just the same rhetoric that’s been repeated for every generation. Is it?

    > When a gang of motorcycle-riding members of Boko Haram attacked a military base in eastern Nigeria a couple of years ago, they were stymied by a defensive trench surrounding the complex.

    > The extremists regrouped. **Before launching another assault, they asked A.I. for help.**

    > **“We saw in a movie how motorcycles can jump over bridges,” a former Boko Haram commander told Antonia Juelich**, a terrorism and technology researcher at Cambridge University. “We used A.I. to learn how to do this. We gave it information, like what motorcycles we use and the distance we need to jump and so on, and it gave us steps on what we have to do.”

    > Using tips from chatbots, mechanics modified the motorcycles to allow for faster acceleration and top speed. The riders dug their own holes, filled them with broken glass and fire, and practiced jumps — sometimes with fatal outcomes — until **they achieved enough aerial liftoff to mount a successful attack, defectors said.**
