I believe Youtube removing the dislike feature is to normalize AI slop.
Now when you browse youtube, you will be forced to boost engagement for slop videos, and be forced to read comments or use context clues from watching it to know whether it was fake or real.
a video can have 50,000 dislikes and you won’t know it’s dogshit without wasting half an hour of your life to find out because 60,000 bots have liked it. it’s all to demoralise. they know everyone will hate it and nobody can change it. literally everything has this in some way. can’t even drink a real fuckin coke anymore.

It’s only a bonus. They removed dislikes so it would be easier to push agendas.
I have the dislike button still
Nah, they removed the dislikes due to their garbage rewind.
‘[*YouTube Rewind 2018*](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/YouTube_Rewind_2018:_Everyone_Controls_Rewind) was the single most disliked video on YouTube, receiving 20 million dislikes since its upload on December 6, 2018, until it got deleted.^(‘)
