Submission Statement: This could signal the beginning of a serious escalatory spiral, particularly in conjunction with some of the recent statements from IRGC officials including:

    >We have begun to implemented a phased plan, which will end with the complete destruction of all regional energy and water-purification infrastructure, if the U.S. aggression against Iran does not immediately stop.

    >As part of the first stage of this plan, all powerplants and water desalination plants in Kuwait are now part of our target bank.’

This could presage far greater infrastructure destruction, locking in supply disruptions far beyond even an increasingly distant chance of a diplomatic resolution.

Which of course means we’ll see oil at $30 by end of week.

Yeah this is a pretty bad omen of things to come. It’s the 2nd day of strikes by Iran by the way, so it very much signals to continued attacks on Kuwaiti infrastructure rather than just a one time thing. This is probably an attempt by the Iranians to warn the US that they will definitely expand their attacks beyond Kuwait if American attacks continue.

Targeting water infrastructure as a nation with severe drought is certainly one of the choices of all time. I would imagine this is going to escalate,
