I don’t think the VAT has to be flat across all product categories. Also it’s unnecessary complex, tends to be regressive, and is probably not a good idea for the US anyway.

I don’t think the VAT has to be flat across all product categories. Also it’s unnecessary complex, tends to be regressive, and is probably not a good idea for the US anyway.
