James Carville says Democrats are fighting a losing battle on voter ID.
The veteran Democratic strategist argues voter fraud is "an infinitesimal problem," but says Americans overwhelmingly support showing identification to vote and warns Democrats look like they don't care about election integrity by continuing to oppose it.
Carville says Democrats should stop fighting voter ID requirements, accept a standard similar to Louisiana's law, and move on to other issues, while making clear he is not endorsing the GOP-backed SAVE Act.
A new Fox News Poll shows that 83% of registered voters support a photo ID requirement to register to vote, while 77% support the mandate for people to cast a ballot.
