    Interestingly, this program was started during Trump 1 and got expanded under Biden. 850 million dollars went towards 6 companies, none of which made a single glove. In fact one of the companies trying to make the NBR (rubber) for the gloves is going through liquidation and is about to sell the equipment to a Chinese company. The big issue is that other domestic customers (not the government) are not obligated to buy the American made gloves, which cost twice as much because they lack scale, have higher input costs (can’t buy the materials from China), and have higher labor costs than their Malaysian competition.

    As it turns out you can’t throw money and expect results
