This is the second avocado I have gotten that didn’t ripen over a week in the fridge and when I cut it open, didn’t turn brown. It had a film over it almost like the avocado grew a protective film to keep it from browning so gross and scared to think that they’re pumping this BS into the food market and feeding it to people. It’s either fake food or E. coli food basically and exploding diarrhea. SMH I’m tired.
Sn: this is after I left it out, uncovered overnight.

Food ripens slower in the fridge
It’s just very poor quality, no nutriment, no oil, no flesh, only fibers.
I bet back when everything was coming from nature a few almonds, berries and an apple would feed us perfectly for the day.
You might be onto something. If you look closely, they even put a wooden ball in your avocado, stay vigilant bro
It browns way faster once the pit is separated from the avocado
Put it next to a banana. Guarantee it ripens

This is normal avocado behavior. Remove the pit and it willl ripen expeditiously
That happens usually due to being harvested too early before reaching physiological maturity, or suffering from chilling injury caused by improper cold storage during transit.
Avocados do not soften or ripen properly on the tree. If a fruit is picked prematurely, it lacks the necessary oil content and metabolic triggers to break down and soften.
