    This is a really interesting advance and afaik could be very promising for the reasons outlined in the article.

    There are some really really big differences between viruses and bacteria, let alone eukaryotes, and while it may seem like the approach could be applied to more complex organisms, I wouldn’t be surprised if it ends up being more difficult than let on here.
