I also think it's important for the sub to discuss both the policies but also the identities of the voters, many are not strongly liberals as liberalism is a weak ideology in France. Before Macron, Liberal only reached 15% at most of the vote. Never enough for the 2nd round. Instead many are attracted to Atttal's "fresh face" or dedicated to Macron's "political movement" (which is a hodgepodge really)
