Why this is relevant: relevant to ongoing discussion of Mamdani's rent freeze and other regulations creating less supply and more demand. NYC needs massive amounts of more housing as 5,000 dollars a month is insane for even junior bankers. This is great case study on "why you can't ignore supply and demand."
