I have started aggressively pushing back whenever I hear someone say some variation of “the world is just so horrible nowadays”. The world we live in is an order of magnitude better than a 100 years ago.
If you gave me a one way time machine and told me I had to use it, I’d be hard-pressed to find a time that I’d be happy with that wouldn’t just be 2022 or some shit
I would rather live in 2026 making $60,000 with all of our amenities than live in 1926 making $60,000 ($1.1m).
