Just like the “high iq” myth, the myth that israel has the best intelligence services in the world is being exposed as false.
It’s obvious to me that Israel was in on it. The only ones who benefit from this was Israel. The only ones who would infect America with islamophobia would be Israel. I think the reason is because Netanyahu wants America to spend the money and expend troops. Israel is tiny, one bad war and they’re toast. They’ve been lobbying every president to do their dirty work since their existence.
Because the aim isn’t to assassinate the president of the US, it is to manipulate him. Make him give money and attack their enemies. It isn’t even that hard man, USA politicians are hard wired to support Israel. It is a matter of making a gigantic event to move them to a gigantic reaction.
I doubt that the assassination of a president amounts to anything other than bragging rights. These nations are not run by their Presidents and if DT or Netanyahu fell off the earth tomorrow nothing much would change except how they sold you the same policy going forward.
I’d laugh if some other nation thought attacking a US president would amount to meaningful change in foreign diplomacy. If anything, the US and Israel probably dreams of being handed that legitimacy.

If I were Trump, I would be very nervous that Israel tries to “off” him and blame Iran. What better way to get the US to fully commit to defeating Iran and sending in ground forces?
