On YouTube over the last few days I have come across 3 different videos, from 3 unrelated creators, none of which disclose an ad, talking about Casa Bonita in Denver, CO. They tell almost exactly the same story about the restaurant; It's a Denver treasure, went bankrupt in 2020, bought by the creators of South Park, renovated and is now back on the map and better than ever. The videos either bring up or visit Casa Bonita in an organic way. When I watched the segment about Casa Bonita in the 3 vidoes they all read exactly like an ad. I know undisclosed ads have become a large problem over the years, but this feels different. This isn't product placement, or an "i loveeee Bloom greens, I drink it everyday" it's downright manipulation. Especially the podcast with Bowen Yang. Telling a story about the place randomly? Something about Brooke Shields and unionizing the workers? I don't know, it's so fishy and bizarre. Has anyone else come across something like this?
