    **Submission Statement**

Nigel Farage garners 63% of the vote to Count Binface’s 27% in the Clacton by-election. This is relevant because this means the investigation into Farage’s undeclared donations can resume after they were paused due to his resignation. This means another by-election might be on the way if the Standards Committee suspends Farage for more than 10 days and a recall petition gets enough signatures. It is also relevant because this farce is another element in a downward trend for Farage and Reform over the last few weeks.

All major parties boycotted this by-election, allowing Binface to consolidate the opposition, though this was not enough to secure victory. He does get to reclaim his deposit though. Perhaps of note is Farage failed to attend the public count, becoming the first victorious candidate to skip the count since Bobby Sands won her parliamentary seat from prison while on hunger strike in Northern Ireland in 1981 at the height of the Troubles.
